SIEL-Territoire d’énergie Loire supports local authorities to take the steps to check their air renewal systems. Contact your SAGE agent.

Certain EPCIs* can also help you with the improvement of indoor air quality – don’t hesitate to contact them.

* Different groupings of municipalities, including communautés des communes, agglomération, métropoles.

Good air quality is good for the health and is favourable to children’s learning at school. Children’s lungs are still growing and they have higher breathing rates than adults. Poor indoor quality can lead to several types of symptom (asthma, headaches, irritations, colds, etc.) and can reduce children’s ability to study.

Following two decrees in 2015 and another on 1 January 2018, crèches, nursery and primary schools have a duty to monitor indoor air quality.

In 2020, it is the turn of leisure centres and secondary schools and in 2023 the rules will apply to social and medical-social structures and indoor swimming pools.

SIEL-Territoire d’énergie Loire offers communities of municipalities and municipalities that are members of SAGE) support to improve ventilation in public access buildings : diagnosis, measurements, recommendations for work to be done and monitoring of the work.

Below you will find links to all the official documents on implementing the regulations.
