SEM’SOLEIL IS A SEMI-PUBLIC ENTERPRISE WHOSE GOAL IS TO FACILITATE AND SUPPORT RENEWABLE ENERGY INITIATIVES
In 2010 SIEL-Territoire d’énergie Loire set up a semi-public enterprise named "Solidarité Énergie Innovation Loire" to handle renewable energy projects in collaboration with private investors. To date, over €1.2 million has been invested in photovoltaic and methane projects as well as in wind power.
These partnerships provide financial support for village power plants developed as citizens' initiatives.
SIEL-Territoire d’énergie Loire owns 72% of the capital in SEM’SOLEIL, with a value of €2.9m.
► SEM’SOLEIL does not act as the contracting authority for renewable energy projects for members of SIEL-Territoire d’énergie Loire.
► SEM’SOLEIL is able to intervene anywhere in the country.
